Pre-Screened Dealers
This is a tough task, but we do our best to evaluate the dealers
invited to participate in the Fair Dealer Network. Better Business Bureau
records, blind shopping and regular monitoring, help us ensure the high standards you can
expect at all Fair Dealer stores.
Dealer participants, in general, have established
reputations and are committed to meeting your excellent expectations of them. Doing
business with the right dealer, is good head-start to a good deal. Short of the
purchase of a home, this is the largest purchase decision people make. As with
buying a home, where you buy is as important as price.
Stress Free Buying
Fair Dealer Representatives, offer information and no pressure.
They will assist in helping you find the right vehicle for your
particular wants and needs.
They regard the opportunity to earn your business as a beginning
of an on-going relationship. They want you to buy another car in time, and be
recommended to your family and friends. That means your interests need to be
met. Not just during the course of the sale, but long afterward.
Superb Service
Fair Dealer Representatives are committed to providing a very
high quality of service.
Their product knowledge is another asset you have working for
you.
You can expect the dealer's service department and their
auxiliary services to be of the same high standard.
The kind of service you receive during your purchase, can be
expected to continue, after the sale. Fair Dealers and their representatives are
looking forward to servicing your needs long term.
Your Best Deal
Are you buying the right car in the first place? Should
you buy or lease? What are your expectations of the dealer? Certainly price is
most important, but your best deal is not determined by price alone. Doing business
with Fair Dealers, helps assure you of really getting the best
deal.
After Sale Benefits
When your car is in for service, having a car to drive if your
car is not ready, as promised, is something you may expect from Fair Dealers.
Many other courtesies, including special service and parts
discounts, can be expected at most Fair Dealer stores. They give more, because they
want to earn your business next time around. Not all dealers are that smart.

pricing and used car wholesale and retail pricing.
New Car Invoice Prices
If you want to know dealer cost, here's the information.
Fair Dealer stores usually add a small margin to their cost and
that's your price. You should expect margins to vary from model to model, based on
availability.
Be assured however, the prices quoted by our Fair Dealer's are
the best competitive prices for their product. Our dealers prefer informed buyers,
and that includes buyers that know pricing information.
Used Car Wholesale
Prices
Wholesale prices are based on the value of pre-owned vehicles,
allowing for year, condition, and mileage. These are calculated from market prices
at dealer auctions where used vehicles are bought and sold.
They are comparable with the price you may expect to receive for
your own car in trade.
The retail value of these vehicles is determined after they have
been reconditioned, and includes an amount for profit on the sale.
Typically, a dealer who pays $4,000 for a trade will put an
average of $500 into reconditioning the car mechanically, and another average of $500 for
cosmetic improvements. The car which has now cost the dealer $5,000 will usually be
sold for about $6,000. The dealer also usually will warranty this used vehicle for a
period of time.
Consumers who sell their car on their own also face
responsibilities to buyers. It's also wise to know as much about the facts and
pitfalls as possible before making your decision.
